Virtual Labs are a collection of online experiments (web applications) created by developers from various institutes in India.
Virtual Labs Platform is an infrastructure and a collection of services, which help in authoring of a lab and deploying and hosting the lab in the Virtual Labs platform.
Virtual Labs are Free and Open source software(FOSS), so that more collaboration and interest can be fostered among various colleges in India.
All the content of Virtual Labs is licensed CC-BY-NC-SA, and the software is FOSS.

This project is funded by MHRD(http://mhrd.gov.in/), and carried out at IIIT-H (http://iiit.ac.in/).

Anyone can contribute to the platform of Virtual Labs, both in the core platform and services of Virtual Labs as well as contribute a new lab of their own.

Through this workshop we plan to conduct a hands-on session for anyone with web development experience on how to build a virtual lab and how to use the services and the platform provided by Virtual Labs to integrate and deploy a lab in this platform, which is then freely available on the web.
