FW4SPL is an open-source and modular framework written in C++ and based on the object/service paradigm [1][2]. Developed by IRCAD [3] and IHU Strasbourg [4], it is dedicated to medical imaging visualization and processing. The decoupling of data and algorithms, along with their distribution in components, offer the possibility to build custom applications quickly and to limit the dependencies against third party libraries like Qt, VTK, ITK, Sofa, etc... The applications are described in XML.
This presentation will emphasize on the latest news of the framework [5] and on the increasing will of quality [6] for the community.
